BoTree Kampot White Pepper in a handcrafted sugar palm wood box
$20.00
White pepper is is made from the ripe berries by soaking them in water for 48 hours to remove the outer skin and the flesh, leaving behind the seed of the peppercorn which is naturally white in colour. Popular amongst top chefs when preparing dishes that have a delicate flavour, white Kampot pepper adds a touch piperine spice that wakes up the taste buds without overpowering the dish with the stronger pepper fruit flavours found with black and red peppers.
Great Taste 2022 : 1 Star Award: Simply Delicious
BoTree Kampot White Pepper was the winner of a one star award at the 2022 Guild of Fine Food’s Great Taste Awards, regarded as the “Oscars” of the fine and speciality food world. See the Judges' comments below:
- This product is a crunchy pepper that packs a big punch. On taste, nutty flavours are apparent with lingering heat.
- Clean little peppercorns which come in varying shades of white and grey. Fresh and vibrant with a punchy yet not overbearing heat. It lingers on the palate developing as it does - but this isn't ferocious at all. Quite delicious and well balanced.
The pepper is vacuum sealed for freshness and placed in a cylindrical box that is lovingly handcrafted from the wood of the sugar palm, Cambodia's national tree. A gorgeous gift.
